  2. Ubunto será mais bonito que Mac OS X?

    Eu uso várias distribuições linux. No momento estou usando OpenSuse por uma questão pessoal.

    Não uso linux por uma questão de beleza, tanto é que prefiro usar a interface gráfica XFCE do que Gnome ou mesmo KDE. Tenho um Xubuntu rodando numa máquina virtual e meu querido e estimado OpenSuse rodando numa partição própria.

    Eu pessoalmente acho o Beryl muito bonito. Mas ainda é meio barroca. Não existe esta enfase em funcionalidade que o mac os possui. Beleza por beleza acho que o Beryl tem elementos mais bonitos que o Mac Os. Mas o mac os é imbatível em oferecer beleza e funcionalidade como elementos complementares.

  3. Wi-fi dirver?

    Eu fiz um teste estes dias com um dongle da linksys:

    D-Link DWL-G122 (comprei na fnac)...

    Ele funciona, mas não é reconhecido como Wireless e sim como uma porta ethernet... Precisei baixar os drivers direto do site da railink. Mas para uma emergência, funcionou direitinho. Mas não é a mesma coisa que usar aquele outro da Linksys muito usado pelo pessoal de mac...

  11. Hackintosh: por onde começar

    Você comentou que tem outros macs na casa certo?

    1- Instale o Kalyway normalmente

    2- Quando ele der erro de boot (eu imagino que seja este o seu problema)

    - Coloque um pendrive do chameleon.

    Pendrive chameleon

    1 - Formate um pendrive como mac

    2 - copie o conteúdo do chameleon que você pega aqui: http://chameleon.osx86.hu/ para o pendrive

    3 - boot no seu pc e escolha como boot USB-CD

    4 - siga os passos de instalacao do chameleon que estão no readme:

    Normal Install (non-RAID):

    --------------------------

    Suppose that your installation is on /dev/disk0s2

    - Install boot0 to the MBR:

    fdisk -f boot0 -u -y /dev/rdisk0

    - Install boot1h to the partition's bootsector:

    dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdisk0s2

    - Install boot to the partition's root directory:

    cp boot /

    No need to use startupfiletool anymore!

    Hey,

    This is a 100% serious question, so mods, plz don't lock this thinking I'm just being an *******. I really do need help with this.

    I put my laptop on the floor with the lid open (because I was coding) so my girlfriend and myself could have some private time.

    I'll skip the details, there's female juices all over my macbook pro keyboard. The reason why I state the substance is b/c it's important you know that it's sticky & is started to not smell normal 'n the like..

    I need to wash the keyboard, but I don't know what I can use that's both wet, and will also take off any sticky stuff on there. I don't know what I can use chemical wise on it besides a damp towel.

    As soon as I found out (I'm not sure how long that was after it happened) I turned off the computer and flipped it upside down to drain, and some did.

    I wiped the keys and got as thoroughly in there with a damp towel (water) as I could.

    The macbook pro's structure is different than most laptops, I'm sure I can google instructions on how to take it apart, but A) I'm afraid to, :P I'm not about to try 'n explain this to apple care, and C) I don't know much about the keyboard, because it's back-lit. Is it just like any other laptop keyboard, where there's a flat surface underneath, or is there places due to the back-lighting where liquids can go?

    I looked down in it with a flash light and it seems to be just a flat surface, so I'm pretty sure I might be able to do this without taking it apart. So what chemicals can I use on the keys that will help remove sticky stuff but not damage the case and still clean it up?

    I'm assuming if I just use any kind of "gunk" remover, like windex in very small moderations on a damp towel of heavily diluted windex it would work fine, though I've never dealt with cleaning this case with anything other than water and I don't know what will happen. Normally I'd spring for the acetone, or gasoline, but I'm afraid it'll eat away at this, even if used in heavy moderation.

    Tips, are all welcome, and if it's possible, plz don't bash me, as Jess said, accidents happen. I don't intend on using my MBP until I get this problem resolved, but I do have a program to turn in Monday. I removed the battery and purged it (not that it makes any difference b/c I didn't take out the backup battery for clock 'n such).

    Uhh, thanks for your potential help, and just a lil FYI, there's not much information about this on Google.

    Eu não consigo imaginar como isso aconteceu, mas vamos lá:

    1- Abra a raiz da sua pasta de documentos (DOCUMENTOS APENAS)

    2- Clique com o botão da direita do mouse sobre a pasta e escolha a opção Get Info

    3 - Na parte inferior existe a lista de permissões. Clique em + na parte inferior e adicione o seu usuário

    4 - Altere a opção ao lado do nome do seu usuário para Read + Write

    5 - depois de fazer isto selecione o icone de uma Engrenagem e clique em 'Apply to enclosed items'

    6 - Aceite a caixa de diálogo...

    Você pode instalar o Leo em uma nova hd sem alterar nada na sua HD atual. Cheque bastante se a sua configuração é ok para hack. Daí vá em frente.

    E um hack é um bom início para você conhecer melhor a plataforma. A vantagem de você ter os dois em hds separadas (ou mesmo em partições separadas) é que você pode rodar os dois sistemas isoladamente ou em emulação através do paralells...

    Pesquise bastante antes de brincar de hack :)

  25. VMware Fusion

    Não tem muito com o que se preocupar. O VMware roda criando um arquivo que representa a sua hd. Você instala e apenas tenha a preocupação de criar uma imagem de um tamanho de no mínimo 10 gigas para o XP ou 15 para o Vista. De resto você não tem como errar. Você não tem como ferrar o seu mac só por usar o Fusion.
